July 7th Updates

JAR List Options that have been added:
- Vanilla 1.17.1.
- Spigot 1.17.1 (with and without Aikars Flags).
- PaperSpigot 1.17.1 (with and without Aikars Flags).
- Velocity 3.0.0.
- Fabric 1.17.1 (0.11.6) w/ FabricAPI (0.36.1).
The Spigot, PaperSpigot and Velocity options will all be checked for daily updates as always, with updates noted on the post HERE.

Note -
As always with any version update, whether it be a minor or major version update, back up your server (especially world/s) before updating.
If you are using Spigot/PaperSpigot with plugins installed note that there are plugin breaking changes so it would be advised to run a test server (whether that be a localhost or just the same server with a full copy of your files saved elsewhere so you can backdate to 1.17 if needed) with all plugins updated to their latest releases and make sure everything works before updating your live/public server!

While it has not been stated to be required it is also advised that when you updated to 1.17.1 for the first time you load the server up with the --forceUpgrade and --eraseCache options enabled on the Advanced > Startup Parameters on your control panel - once it has ran with these options once make sure to disable them again.

JAR List Options that have been updated:
- Default has been updated to Vanilla 1.17.1.
- BungeeCord and Waterfall have updated for 1.17.1 support.
- Mohist 1.12.2 updated to build 242.
To update if you are already using these options simply delete the jar folder from the server files and restart the server. For those updating the Default option please read the note above.

JAR List Options that have been removed:
- AT - A Bit of Everything (3.9.3).
- Curse - Enigmatica 2 (1.78).
- Curse - Roguelike Adventures and Dungeons (1.45).
- Vanilla 1.17.1 Pre-Release and Release Candidate.

JAR List Options that have been changed:
- Spigot and PaperSpigot 1.17 options are no longer listed as [Latest] - both have been updated to the latest 1.17 builds for one last time (which should now be the last builds for 1.17, all updates from now should be for 1.17.1).
- Velocity 1.* no longer listed as [Latest] though the latest version will be kept (currently 1.1.9) for anyone who requires it over their new 3.* releases.

July 14th Updates

JAR List Options that have been added:
- FTB - Academy-16 (1.1.0).
- Forge 1.16.5 (Latest - 36.1.33).

NOTE - As with all of the plain Forge options, it will wipe your servers config and mods folders on install. Unless you require the newer Forge build for any mod changes you are making you should not update to this build.
If you do require the update, follow these steps exactly to avoid any issues with your setup:
- Stop your server and log into the server files/FTP.
- Delete the jar folder.
- Make a new folder (any name just something different and memorable so you remember which it is) and move the config and mods folders into it, along with the world folder you are using.
- When done, load the server back up.
- Once it has loaded shut it back down and go back to the server files/FTP.
- Delete the config and mods folders, as well as the folder with the same name as your world.
- When they have deleted, move the contents of the folder you created previously (the config, mods and world folder you moved to it earlier) back out to the main directory (after this is done you can then delete the empty folder).
- Start the server back up.

To continue using the previous Forge build, without it making your server never show as "Online" on the control panel, follow these steps:
- Log into your server files.
- Go into the /jar directory and rename the Forge file you are using (the name is in the JAR File box on the main page of your control panel) to custom_server.jar exactly (case-sensitive).
- When done, go back to the main page of the control panel and change the drop down jar list from the Forge option you are using (or "Default" if it has already been removed from our list" and select the Custom Server JAR [Java 8] option.
- Restart the server.
It will continue using the same Forge build you have been using, but will continue to show it as Online on the control panel correctly even when we remove that Forge build from our list.

JAR List Options that have been updated:
- NukkitX updated for Bedrock 1.17.10.
- Mohist 1.12.2 updated to build 243.
- The Magma 1.12.2 option, updated to build ad7ca54-stable.
- The Fabric 1.16.5 option, updated to include Fabric-API (0.37.0).
- The Fabric 1.17.1 option, updated to include Fabric-API (0.37.0).
To update if you are already using these options simply delete the jar folder from the server files and restart the server.
For those updating the Fabric options if you have renamed the Fabric-API.jar file in the mods folder at any time this must also be deleted or it won't auto-remove and update correctly (nothing else in the mods folder is touched so it won't effect your installed mods when updating).

JAR List Options that have been changed:
- The Default option on the jar list now runs Spigot 1.17.1, not Vanilla. This will continue using Spigot for any future 1.17.* versions that release.

If you use the Default option with 1.17.1 already and wish to switch to using Spigot simply delete the jar folder from the server files and restart the server. Note however that when doing so (or if you do it unknowingly by deleting/renaming the server jar so it reinstalls on restart) that Vanilla and Spigot load the Nether/End from a different location so they will reset in the process.

In general it is advised that once you have bought a server that you change the jar list to the specific version you wish to use on the list (ie Vanilla 1.17.1 specifically rather than use the Default option).
