Troubleshoot Lag Problems with Spigot/PaperSpigot

With Spigot/PaperSpigot, it is possible to pin-point potential causes of lag on your server by using the Timings feature.

To use the timings function, simply run timings on in your servers console when your server is lagging, and make sure to leave it for at least 10 minutes before running timings paste.
This will give you a link to a report that will give you information on the impact everything on your server was causing during the time period you left the timings running.

If you need any help in deciphering your report you can send the link in via a support ticket and we will tell you if anything flagged in the report is out of place and should be changed/removed.

For other lag troubleshooting methods, check out our other guide:

Timings Link Not Working

Currently - whether it be an issue with Spigot/Paper or just servers ran through MultiCraft (not 100% sure on where the cause lies) - when you do timings paste the link you get will not work.

There is a very easy fix however. For example:

Spigot Link
Becomes this:

Simply add the ?u part.

PaperSpigot Link
Becomes this:

Simply add the ?i part.
